Interim Credit Controller
Main responsibilities
As Interim Credit Controller at Lois Jeans, you will look after all accounts receivables. You will build and maintain relationships with our customers, reducing the risk of debt write offs, while helping to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.
Credit control
- Build close relationships with our international customer base
- Receivable processing and administration
- Collect outstanding receivables within the agreed payment terms
- Work out payment plans with customers
- Liaise with external administration office and debt collection agencies
- Develop and improve processes, maximising cash flow and minimising debt write offs
- Obtain and monitor credit ratings and approve sales and deliveries to customers
- Set internal credit limits and manage credit terms
Insurance
- Liaise with credit insurers, requesting and negotiating credit limits
- Handle claims with credit insurers
Factoring
- Liaise with factoring company
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Minimise retentions
- Reconciliation of accounts receivables
Relationship building
- Handle any customer queries, in cooperation with logistics, customer service and our sales teams
- Organise follow up calls to customers to confirm orders have been delivered satisfactorily
- Solve potential disputes
Administration
- Match payments and invoices, ensuring accuracy of our accounts receivable at all times
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the teams
- Forecast receivables
About you
- Availability: October (asap) – January 2025.
- Preferably, you have an accounting background and at least 1 year experience as a credit controller, preferably in the fashion industry
- Experience in an international environment is preferred
- You are organised and methodical, committed to providing quality service, producing high quality outputs and meeting deadlines
- You are able to work independently
- You are an excellent communicator and negotiator in Dutch and English
